They speak English and they work cheap. Teaching English in the Philippines might sound good in paper, but it's near impossible to get a job. As a foreigner, you might get a job working for somebody. You'll earn 0 - 0 a month. That's maybe 20000 pesos. Whole families live here for 10000 pesos a month. These people are professionals. They go to University and study hard. The best chance of working here in the Philippines is if you can work off you laptop. There's a lot of us that travel around here. Laptops. Cell phones. We're connected. There's fast WiFi everywhere. And thats a nice way to make a living. If you do that, you can be out here. Your laptop is close by. I'm only about 10 minutes from mine. I'm just having a little break from the office...
