This is a song TH Culhane composed during his first years teaching biology in South Central Los Angeles in 1990 - 1992 and then rewrote and recorded on a handheld 4 track recorder while working as a teaching assistant for Dr. Jeffrey Miller's physiology class at the American University in Cairo in 2004. The illustrations with web images were done by the class using powerpoint; the assignment was to illustrate the lyrics and therebye, through the repetition process demanded by Culhane's multi-media "Melodic-Mnemonic method", memorize and seek greater understanding of the process of Mitosis.
