In 2012 an independent evaluation was conducted by researchers at the Institute for Effective Education at the University of York. The study used 42 schools to evaluate the impact on teacher effectiveness and student progress and learning, of Learning Clip. This is a set of curriculum tied, self-paced Learner Response teaching resources. The study focussed on grammar teaching, a notoriously difficult area for teachers in terms of planning, assessment and making sure students grasp concepts. The study showed a huge jump in results for students of between 30 and 40%. On top of this 99% of teachers gave positive feedback and wished to continue using the software and recommend it to their colleagues.
